If I remember numbers somewhat correct, it scaled to like mpde WoD. There were SOME gear that was better than other, certain trinkets and items with many mdoe. BUT, as long as you had in each gear and that was blue heroic qualitythese dungeons were doable at gold!
That means as soon as you gotwhich was super easy, you could get started and it focused on skill instead of gear! The better gear you have, the higher keys you can do It killed the "jump straight into action" of the CMs to only be a thing for those who got good gear, that sucks. Cuallenge key levels?
Why can't you just chose your difficulty and start? Another stupid grind to get the keys Also the whole raider. Originally Posted by Depakote. What's so how to make chicken pakora batter about doing the same dungeon over and over even with harder mechanics? Last edited by Arainie; sow PM. Originally Posted by Accendor.

Isn't it good when something becomes more avaliable and only skill will separate people? To wnat it about skill and not gear. Noone ever did CMs because they rewarded pretty much nothing and the replayability was zero.

Jun 11, · challenge mode. the reward was an objective to aim for. M+ is a good idea but at this point it feels more like a chore then something i want to do. they need to either move M+ to its next iteration, or add a rewards people care about. Nightmare Mode is the ultimate WoW challenge mode and the most difficult mode Project Ascension offers. While in Nightmare Mode: You take % increased spell damage. You take % increased physical damage. No assistance from outsiders (non-nightmare). After entering Nightmare Mode you will see the Nightmare Challenge debuff and a visual aura will surround your character.
By Stan , September 25, in News. Twisting Corridors is the "Challenge Mode" wing of Torghast that consists of floor runs at a greater difficulty than the rest of the tower.
You can continuously farm it with no weekly limits or caps to earn Stygia and cosmetic rewards for clearing certain thresholds. Torghast difficulty is measured in layers, and the higher layer you complete, the better rewards await you. Each layer of Twisting Corridors consists of 18 floors. Every sixth room will be a boss room, and you must defeat the boss to reach higher floors. Each boss drops 30 Stygia on Layer 1 of Twisting Corridors.
Currently, you can claim up to 4 rewards from the Twisting Corridors: a battle pet, title, toy, and a mount. Battle pet size will be smaller in the game. This is just a placeholder to preview the model. Stygia is a currency native to the Maw , the endgame zone of Shadowlands, and can be exchanged for various goods at Ve'nari, the only friendly trader found at Ve'nari's Refuge. Her wares include an item that upgrades Conduits , a consumable that adds sockets to your gear , a Legendary Power recipe , or Possibility Matrix , and item that makes you always see at least two choices when using an Anima Hoard in Torghast.
The twist is you will lost half of your collected Stygia when you die in the zone, and instead of running to your corpse as a ghost, you resurrect at a random spot and must make your way to your corpse alive in the Maw. Also to note, there are quite a few unfinished parts of the quest chain, but the story comes across - however if you want to experience the entire and complete story fresh, maybe skip the video and description below.
LeysTV put together one of his cinematic walkthroughs for the quest chain, cutting out all the combat and actual questing, just keeping the NPC dialogues and action! As we look through Korthia for fragments of the Primus' message, we find out more and more of what happened to him and how he tried to evade the Jailer's plans.
The Runecarver. While the cutscene is a work in progress and isn't all there, it's now undeniable as the Runecarver transforms into the Primus and tries to escape, with the Jailer and Anduin coming to stop him. There is a LOT going on in this quest chain, from there only being 1 sigil left for the Jailer to take at the end, to Thrall finally meeting up with Draka, Anduin showing up, and there's still a lot missing - but we get the gist of what happens.
This is a great setup for the rest of the patch and we can't wait to see what exactly happens in the Sanctum of Domination! This quest chain heightens the stakes for one of the theories based on some new information that cane from exploring around during raid testing we recently discussed about the raid and its final encounter, as the major story consequences we mentioned are even more dire, and you can read about that here.
PvP and the Crazyiest Undertakings. It's been a while since I talked to Rextroy, the most creative of creative users of game mechanics, and as he's been away for most of Shadowlands, only recently returning with two bangs , it seemed like a great time to have another interview after our last "Exploit Vs. Clever Use" one! We went on an in-depth tour of his WoW career in an interview over on Raider.
IO, moving through his beginnings and inspirations, the ban and it's impact, his pick of PvE or PvP, his full process of taking on a solo boss, some issues he has with Shadowlands tanks, his favorite videos and a LOT more. Here's a few snippets, but be sure to check out the full interview over at Raider. IO, as it's a pretty great one if I do say so myself!
There's a lot more in the full interview, so make sure to read it over on Raider. One of the most unique items coming in patch 9. In the latest 9. In the previous build, the bow replaced the Hunter ability Kill Shot with the new Wailing Arrow one, but that has now been changed as spotted by moofzy and the Banshee's Lament effect now grants an entirely new and separate Wailing Arrow ability: You'd think a brand new ability would be good news for Hunters, however this change might actually be a bit of a downgrade, as the previous iteration actually benefited from Kill Shot bonuses, such as the Venthyr Covenant ability Flayed Shot.
The Mastery secondary also seems to have been swapped out for Haste. The bow still doesn't have a name, but at least the Sanctum of Domination bosses got their portraits added to the Dungeon Journal! And here's what the bow looks like:. Upgrade Menus Upgraded in Patch 9. The upgrade NPCs got an upgrade themselves on the 9. You can now select the level of upgrade you want for the selected item from a dropdown menu, instead of having to go through each individual upgrade step as before although you still can, if you want to.
This was initially spotted by Matraxia for Valor points specifically, but I went and checked for the Anima upgrades and Honor ones myself: Source: Matraxia.
Source: My anima-broke PTR character. I tried to check and get a screenshot with the Honor upgrade NPC in Oribos as well, but at that point the PTR decided to no longer cooperate and sent me to Oribos hell. On the bright side I did get to see the Arbiter's chambers from WAY up above, as Oribos itself simply didn't load and I could see right through it while still walking around in it.
It was actually really interesting seeing this randomly, considering the recent potential spoilers we got from the Sanctum of Domination raid. But, it's safe to assume all upgrade NPCs got the improvements, as it's obviously a UI change that is applied to any interaction with that specific menu. Just how useful this upgrade is is up for debate, but it's nice to see there's improvements across the board coming in the next patch. Blizzard just posted updated notes for the second 9.
They contain the latest class changes and everything added on the 9. Rogue Feint duration increased to 6 seconds was 5 seconds. Shadow Techniques now triggers more frequently.
The teleport has an 8 hour cooldown that resets after completing a Mythic Keystone dungeon. Removed the cap on the amount of pets that can be owned. Rip and Tear PvP Talent has been removed. Maneuverability PvP Talent now removes all roots when activated in addition to its current effect.
